Subsea resourcing specialist DRIFT Offshore, which provides people and expert support services for projects internationally, has successfully delivered technical training on Seatronics’ industry-leading VALOR ROV system.
Delivered at Seatronics in Aberdeen over three days, the course taught a mix of DRIFT and external technicians the key elements to enable them to operate and maintain the VALOR ROV, which is among the most up to date on the subsea market, bridging the gap between Observation Class and Work Class ROVs by using a network-based operating system and advanced sensor control.
During the three days, the delegates had the course elements broken down into theory, practical, open forum discussions, and exams before being presented with certification upon completion.
The course was delivered as part of the collaboration with subsea technology provider Seatronics, a brand in Acteon’s Data and Robotics division, to provide a pool of skilled and competent VALOR ROV crew. https://acteon.com/electronics-tooling/seatronics
Kyle Pitman, Founder and Director at DRIFT Offshore, said: “It is great to see our partnership progressing with Seatronics – bringing together the latest technology in the observation class market with skilled and competent personnel. We believe that is key to delivering safe and successful offshore projects.”
