DRIFT has supported Boskalis Subsea Services in the development and delivery of a structured training programme for its new work-class ROV systems and Remote Operations Centre (ROC) capability.
As Boskalis continues to expand its subsea operations and invest in remote operations, the need for a practical, operationally focused training framework was critical. The programme was designed to equip personnel with the skills required to safely operate and manage ROV systems remotely, bridging the gap between traditional offshore operations and onshore ROC-based control.
Working closely with the Boskalis team, DRIFT developed a tailored training approach combining ROV experience with the technical and procedural demands of remote operations, with a strong focus on safe execution, system integration and effective collaboration between offshore and onshore teams.

“DRIFT worked closely with us to develop and deliver bespoke training programmes for our systems and operational requirements. Their ability to combine strong operational ROV experience with practical training delivery ensured the content was directly relevant to our subsea operations.
“The programme covered key areas including Kystdesign and Seaeye system integration, remote piloting, communications and latency considerations, and the procedures required to safely manage offshore operations from a ROC environment. The focus on situational awareness and the interface between offshore and onshore teams was particularly valuable.
“The result is a training approach that has given our teams confidence as we continue to expand our operations.”
